The Role
A Multi-Skilled Engineer is required to support both planned and reactive maintenance across a busy production facility. You will work as part of a small on-shift engineering team responsible for keeping equipment running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
This position is ideal for someone who has worked in print, packaging, industrial manufacturing or a factory setting, where reliability and rapid fault resolution are crucial.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out planned preventative maintenance to optimise equipment performance.
*Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and implement effective repairs.
*Maintain and support a range of production machinery, which may include:
*Print presses
*Binding or finishing equipment
*Automated conveyors
*Packaging or handling systems
*Assist in installing, testing, and commissioning new equipment or upgrades.
*Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance uptime and efficiency.
*Ensure compliance with all health & safety and quality standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile
*Experience in print, manufacturing, or factory-based engineering.
*Multi-skilled background with strong mechanical and electrical competencies.
*Ability to fault-find on complex systems, including automated machinery.
*Comfortable working in a high-volume, time-critical production environment.
*Strong communication skills and capable of working independently on shift.
*Proactive, reliable, and safety-focused mindset.
