Sales Manager

*Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (negotiable DOE) + comms + company car
Join a leading supplier of plant and machinery in the UK, serving sectors such as construction, demolition, and recycling. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Manager to join our client’s Sales Team. This role is pivotal in liaising between customers and our support services, ensuring top-notch customer service and driving sales growth.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
*Take responsibility for the sale of new equipment and attachments.
*Provide expert knowledge on the machines/products, effectively communicating benefits to potential customers, answering queries, and providing accurate information on pricing and delivery times.
*Achieve agreed sales targets.
*Manage an existing client base by visiting sites and maintaining relationships.
*Visit prospective customers to build relationships that lead to sales.
*Raise quotes for new machines using our quoting tool.
*Liaise with Sales Coordinators to request invoices for customers.
*Coordinate with workshop and production teams to ensure timely production and delivery of machines.
*Use reporting tools like Power BI to check stock and ensure delivery timelines meet cash forecasting.
*Inspect customer ’trade-in’ machines for part exchanges.
*Participate in shows and exhibitions as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience in selling heavy construction plant equipment and services.
*Proven track record in a sales role and developing customer relationships.
*Strong communication skills.
*High level of IT literacy.
*Must hold a current Driving Licence.
*Willingness to travel.
*Team player.
