We are recruiting an EDM Operator & Programmer for our reputable client (permanent position)
Location: Chippenham, Wiltshire
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–1:00pm
Overtime: Available
Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK

About our Client:
A well-established precision engineering company, operating from modern facilities with a strong order book. They specialise in high precision components for demanding sectors. They are now seeking an experienced EDM Operator & Programmer to join their skilled team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Program, set and operate EDM sparking and wire machines
*Produce precision components to tight tolerances
*Work from engineering drawings, including geometric tolerances
*Carry out first-off and in-process inspections
*Set machine parameters to optimise performance
*Maintain accurate production and inspection records
*Troubleshoot machine and process issues
*Keep machines and work areas clean and organised (5S)
*Follow job packs and complete operations as required
*Report progress and issues to the Cell Lead
Requirements:
*Proven experience as an EDM Setter, Operator or Programmer
*Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
*Experience working with precision components
*Knowledge of machining various materials (e.g. stainless, duplex, nickel alloys)
*Good attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
*Basic IT skills for data entry and record keeping
*Able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
*Experience with Sodick machines or programming
*Background in precision engineering environments
