Job Description:

Join a growing not-for-profit organisation as its new Finance & Payroll Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a broad, hands-on role within a supportive finance team led by a development-focused manager who enjoys mentoring and helping people grow.
You’ll take ownership of payroll while supporting wider finance operations, gaining exposure beyond transactional tasks. The role offers genuine scope to develop, with involvement in systems improvements and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility over time.
What you’ll do * Take ownership of weekly payroll processing
* Support month-end activity, including journals and reconciliations
* Act as a key finance contact for operational stakeholders
* Contribute to management reporting
* Support the implementation of a new HR/payroll system
* Assist in improving finance processes and systems
What you’ll need * Experience in payroll and financial administration
* A solid grounding in core finance processes
* Confidence using finance systems and Excel
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships
* A proactive mindset with the ambition to develop your career
This is more than a payroll position — it’s an opportunity to build your finance experience in a growing organisation, working for a manager who will actively support your development.
If you’re ready for a role where you can take ownership and continue progressing, we’d love to hear from you.
