Job Description:
Our client is a globally recognised coffee brand committed to delivering exceptional coffee experiences across multiple countries. With a strong focus on quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence, they’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. The role is based in Angel and is 30 hours a week working 4 days in the office. They offer excellent benefits such as PMI and offers 25 days annual leave plus a day off for your birthday.
Job Summary The Accounts Assistant will support the finance department in managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. This role plays a key part in supporting multi-location financial operations within a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities * Process accounts payable and receivable transactions

* Record daily sales from multiple store locations

* Reconcile bank statements and cash deposits

* Prepare and post journal entries

* Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes

* Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

* Support payroll processing and expense reimbursements

* Monitor inventory accounting and supplier invoices

* Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries

* Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies

* Coordinate with store managers regarding daily cash reconciliation

Qualifications & Requirements * Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

* 1-3 years of accounting experience (retail or hospitality preferred)

* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar)

* Strong knowledge of MS Excel

* Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting

* High attention to detail and accuracy

* Strong organisational and time management skills

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-location environment

* Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills * Experience in multinational or franchise-based business operations

* Knowledge of POS system reconciliation

* Familiarity with VAT/GST regulations

* Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
