Training & Development Manager (PSS) – Financial PlanningLocation: London
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Permanent / Full-time
Our client is seeking a Training & Development Manager to support and develop Practice Support Staff (PSS) within a growing and professional financial planning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paraplanner or technical professional passionate about coaching, mentoring, and raising technical standards across a team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys developing others and strengthening financial planning support, rather than progressing into an advisory position.
Key Responsibilities*Design, deliver, and manage structured training programmes for PSS staff
*Support onboarding and ongoing development of paraplanners and technical team members
*Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance
*Ensure high standards of financial planning knowledge and best practice
*Identify skills gaps and create development plans to enhance team capability
*Collaborate with management to support the growth and development of the support function
*Promote continuous improvement and foster a strong technical culture
About YouEssential:
*Experience within a financial planning environment
*Strong technical knowledge and understanding of financial planning
*Background in paraplanning or technical support
*SJP experience is essential
*Passion for training, mentoring, and developing others
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Highly organised with a proactive and structured approach
*Looking for a long-term technical or development-focused career path, not moving into an advisory role
