Job Description:
Our client
Ready to turn pockets of good practice into a joined-up way of working? As Continuous Improvement Engineer with this high-volume manufacturer, you’ll be the first dedicated CI specialist on site – creating the blueprint for how continuous improvement is done across the business.
Following significant investment in facilities and new product development, the plant is entering a new phase of change: future-proofing products, introducing new technologies and freeing up capacity in a fast-moving, high-volume environment. CI is central to this journey, and you’ll be right at the heart of it.
The opportunity
In this hands-on, standalone role you will:
*Design and roll out a practical CI roadmap, turning strategy into clear daily routines and standards.
*Lead value stream mapping, Kaizen activities and OEE improvement, with an initial focus on production.
*Use data to uncover waste and bottlenecks, delivering measurable gains in flow, throughput and efficiency.
*Facilitate workshops where people feel involved, listened to and confident to share ideas.
*Coach and support colleagues across production, planning and other functions to build CI capability.
As improvements land, you’ll help shape the future CI structure and have the opportunity to recruit and develop your own CI team, with a clear route to leading the CI function as the business grows.
About you
You’re someone who has introduced Lean/CI into environments where it wasn’t fully established, enjoys being on the shop floor, and is as passionate about engaging people as you are about fixing problems. Energetic, resilient and positive, you’re comfortable working with everyone from senior leaders to operators.
If you’re excited by building something meaningful from the ground up rather than slotting into a mature system, we’d love to hear from you. Please apply with your CV, highlighting where you’ve led CI change and the impact you delivered.
