We are currently recruiting an experienced Duct Fitter to join a busy mechanical installation team on a commercial project. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and fitting metal ductwork systems to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and in line with drawings and site requirements.
Key Responsibilities
*Install galvanised metal ductwork (spiral, square/rectangular, circular) on site
*Read and work from mechanical drawings, schematics, and ductwork layouts
*Measure, cut, assemble, and fit ductwork sections accurately
*Fit associated components including:
*Fire dampers
*Volume control dampers
*Grilles and diffusers
*Access panels
*Flexible connections
*Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
*Ensure ductwork is level, aligned, supported, and installed to specification
*Work collaboratively with mates, supervisors, and other trades on site
*Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
*Follow site H&S procedures and company standards
Requirements
*Proven experience as a Duct Fitter (metal ductwork)
*Ability to read and interpret HVAC/MEP drawings confidently
*Strong knowledge of ductwork installation methods and standards
*Competent using relevant tools and equipment
*Good attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essential Qualifications / Tickets
*Valid CSCS card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred)
*IPAF / PASMA (beneficial but not essential)
*Own tools and PPE
Desirable
*Experience working on large commercial projects
*NVQ Level 2/3 in Heating & Ventilation / Ductwork (or equivalent)
*Previous experience working alongside duct mates and leading small teams
