Robert Half are recruiting a Credit Controller on a 10 Month FTC to be based in Swindon.
Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (10 months)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident managing customer debt, maintaining accurate financial records, and building strong relationships via email and phone.
You will play a key part in ensuring cashflow remains healthy and accounts are well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt
Proactively chase overdue invoices via phone and email
Regularly review aged debt and escalate risks where appropriate
Maintain and reconcile bank accounts and cash allocations
Resolve invoice queries by working closely with internal teams and customers
Update customer records and ensure all communication is logged accurately
Support month-end processes including reporting on debtor positions
Assist with continuous improvement of credit control processes
Skills & Experience Required
Previous credit control / debt collection experience
Strong communication skills, including confident telephone manner and professional email etiquette
Experience in bank account management and reconciliations
High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
Competent with finance systems and Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook)
