Analytical Chemist
Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
2-Month Contract initially - working Monday to Friday days
£35,000 equivalent
Immediate start - short notice availability required

We are seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to join a specialist materials manufacturer on a 2-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support both manufacturing and product development during a busy growth period.

Experience in either ICP-OES or LECO is essential to help support the laboratory team during a busy time.

The Role:

• Deliver analytical support to production and R&D teams
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation
• Contribute to method development and continuous improvement
• Ensure accurate documentation, traceability, and quality compliance
• Maintain laboratory stock, safety standards, and housekeeping

Key Experience:

• Elemental analysis (ICP-OES, LECO)
• Metallography (Optical Microscopy, SEM-EDX)
• XRD
• Physical testing (e.g. particle size analysis, thickness measurement)
• Strong laboratory documentation and quality standards awareness
• ISO 17025 knowledge desirable

This role would suit a hands-on analytical professional who can quickly integrate into an established team and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
