Hays Accountancy & Finance are pleased to be supporting a well-established, research-driven organisation in Cambridge to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager to join its Finance function until September 2026 on a contract basis.
Your new role
As Accounts Manager, you’ll report to the Finance Manager and your key responsibilities will include:
*Managing general ledgers
*Line managing a small team
*Supporting with budgeting and forecasting
*Assisting with debt collection
*Supporting with grant applications
What you’ll need to succeed
*AAT Level 4 (or equivalent) qualification.
*Experience working within a fast-paced accounts environment.
*Strong IT proficiency - including Excel.
*Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise effectively.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Previous line management experience.
What you’ll get in return
Salary up to £40k (pro rata).
FTC until September 2026.
Generous Annual Leave entitlement (pro rata).
