We are recruiting for an experienced Fabrication Operative to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Newhaven. This role involves supporting the Fabrication department by operating key machinery, including the Haeger Press, spinning machines, and spot welding equipment. The position requires working safely, accurately, and efficiently within a busy production environment.
As part of this role, you will contribute to the production of high-quality fabricated components, supporting the smooth operation of the P4 Bending Machine and ensuring production targets are met. You will follow all Health & Safety procedures and operate machinery only as trained by the Fabrication Manager or Team Leaders.
As a Fabrication Operative, your key responsibilities will include:
*Operating Haeger Press, spinning machines, and spot welding equipment.
*Carrying out fabrication tasks to support the P4 Bending Machine.
*Achieving daily and weekly production objectives set by the Fabrication Manager.
*Following Health & Safety procedures at all times and adhering to all training provided.
*Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or factory environment is desirable.
*Essential: Experience operating a Haeger Press.
*Experience with spinning machines and spot welding equipment is highly advantageous.
*Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Safety shoes are mandatory
This is a full time temporary position working Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 5:30pm based in Newhaven on £12.21 per hour, 40 hours per week
