Learning & Development Manager
Location: Newcastle - Fully onsite
Hours: Full-time
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 Depending on Experience
We are pleased to be partnering with a fast paced, dynamic, customer driven contact centre organisation as they seek a Learning & Development Manager to lead, design and deliver impactful learning initiatives across the organisation.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys balancing strategic L&D leadership with hands-on facilitation. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging training sessions for employees and leaders, and a genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of people at every level.
The Role
As Learning & Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
*Creating and leading the organisation’s overall Learning & Development strategy
*Conduct training needs across roles, teams, and functions
*Designing blended learning solutions, including workshops, coaching, virtual learning, and e-learning modules
*Building structured learning pathways for onboarding, leadership development, performance, and capability building
*Facilitate engaging, high-quality training and leadership development programmes
*Adapting content and delivery methods to suit a wide range of learners
*Coaching managers to embed learning effectively in day-to-day practice
*Managing L&D initiatives from concept to delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement
*Using feedback, performance data, and metrics to enhance learning outcomes
*Overseeing L&D budgets and managing external training suppliers
*Working closely with HR and senior leaders to support talent and succession planning
*Promote a strong learning culture across the business
*Supporting the communication of business updates connected to Quality Service insights
What the ideal candidate should have:
*Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation abilities
*Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
*Confident, engaging, and credible when delivering to groups
*Commercially minded with a focus on driving business performance
*Passionate about people development and capability growth
*Highly organised, able to balance multiple projects and priorities
*Collaborative and approachable
*Proven experience in an L&D Manager or similar position
*Hands-on experience delivering training, not solely designing it
*Background in creating learning and development programmes for both leaders and individual contributors
Desirables:
*Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
*Coaching or facilitation qualifications
*Exposure to change management or organisational development
