Job Description:
Chief People Officer (CPO)Location: UK
Reports to: COO
Sector: Technology / SaaS / Telecoms (preferred)
We are appointing a commercially focused Chief People Officer to lead the full People function within a award winning organisation.
This is a strategic and operational leadership role, sitting on the Senior Leadership Team and aligning People strategy directly to business performance and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities*Lead Talent Acquisition, engagement, development and retention strategy
*Oversee complex employee relations, organisational design and change programmes
*Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and HR governance
*Drive succession planning and leadership capability
*Deliver data-led insight across engagement, absence, performance and retention
*Lead People workstreams across restructures, TUPE and M&A integration
*Oversee HRIS systems, payroll and workforce planning
Requirements*CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent)
*Degree educated, 2:1 or above preferred
*Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
*Experience managing HRIS/HRMS and People analytics
*Proven delivery of strategic L&D initiatives
*Board-level stakeholder engagement experience
Profile*Commercially astute People leader
*High personal credibility and executive presence
*Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels
*Technology or telecoms sector experience preferred
