What You’ll Do:
As a Waste Collection Loader, you’ll be part of a committed team responsible for collecting household waste for recycling and disposal. Here’s what you can expect from this exciting role:
Team Collaboration: Work alongside your colleagues to ensure efficient waste collection services throughout the Borough.
Customer Engagement: Assist the public with a friendly and helpful attitude, promoting our waste and recycling services with enthusiasm.
Training Opportunities: Participate in essential training courses to enhance your skills, including on-the-job training.
Versatility: Adapt to various areas and crews as directed by your supervisor, ensuring smooth operations wherever you’re needed.
Safety First: Handle heavy equipment with care, following all manual handling regulations and wearing provided protective gear.
Environmental Stewardship: Report any environmental issues (like graffiti or potholes) to the supervisor, helping to maintain the beauty of our streets.
What We’re Looking For:
A positive attitude and a willingness to assist the public.
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks.
Strong communication skills to liaise with the Team Leader and keep them informed of any issues.
