INTERIM MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT - 40-50k - 3-6 MONTHS FTC - B,HAM - HYBRID WORKING
GreenwellGleeson is partnering with a growing and ambitious Birmingham-based business to recruit a talented Interim Management Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven finance professional who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in supporting month-end processes, financial reporting.
The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will be instrumental in delivering accurate and insightful financial information to support strategic decision-making. This is a hands-on role where you will be encouraged to add value and contribute to the wider finance function.
Key Responsibilities
* Group monthly reporting
* Preparation of consolidated profit & loss accounts
* Reconciliation of intercompany trading accounts
* Month-end accruals, prepayments and overhead reviews
* Preparation of departmental management accounts
* Daily sales reporting and analysis
* Assisting with the annual budgeting process
* VAT returns and compliance-related tasks
* Maintenance of the fixed asset register
* Control account reconciliations
* Government statistical reporting
* Payroll accounting
* Internet banking authorisation
* Liaising with auditors
* Supporting and developing junior team members
* Ad hoc analysis and project work
About You
* Part-qualified / finalist / qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent experience
* Strong month-end and reporting experience
* Confident working with senior stakeholders
* Proactive, organised and detail-oriented
* Able to work independently and hit the ground running
* Strong Excel skills (essential)
