Job Description:
SEND Mediation Co-ordinator - North West
We’re currently working in partnership with a Local Authority in the North West who are looking to appoint an experienced Mediation Co-ordinator to support their SEND service.
Contract details:
*Day rate: £180 - £300 per day (depending on experience - please state your required rate)
*Contract length: 3-6 months initially (covering long-term sickness)
*Working pattern: To be confirmed
*Start: ASAP
The role:
You’ll be responsible for managing mediation and SEND appeal-related cases, ensuring the Local Authority meets its statutory responsibilities around appeals to the SEND Tribunal (SENDIST / HMCTS).
This role will involve:
*Managing a caseload of mediation and SEN appeal cases
*Working closely with parents, schools and commissioned mediation services
*Building strong relationships with education providers and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people
*Supporting the reduction of tribunal risk through effective early resolution and case management
*Working within the statutory and legal framework of the SEND Tribunal process
Referral bonus:
Earn up to £250 for recommending a colleague we successfully place.
