Job Description:
Reed Practice are supporting a growing independent Accountancy Practice on the outskirts of Bradford in the search for a Payroll Senior. The firm have recently upgraded their office space, and it has a great open plan modern feel with a friendly, supportive and collaborative team. Working in a small Payroll Team you will be responsible for maintaining 50-60 payroll clients (ranging from 5 to 40 employees), 2 clients have more than 100 employees (max 150) , processing monthly or weekly payroll, processing pension submissions, CIS submissions, and some journals. In addition, some clients will require support with recording holiday pay and some calculations e.g. SMP, Redundancy etc.
Key responsibilities are as follows:
*Submission of all payroll reports in a timely manner.
*Maintain up to date knowledge of legislation regarding NMW, SMP, SSP etc.
*Maintain strong working relationships with clients
*Submission of reports to pension providers
Requirements:
*Proven work experience as a payroll bureau professional.
*Proficiency in using payroll software. Sage 50 is preferred but training will be provided.
*Generating pension uploads and submissions
*Assessing employees for pension entitlement and associated Pension Regulator matters
*Strong understanding of payroll processes and requirements.
*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
