Job Description:
This is a great opportunity for a driven Category manager to bring their experience and expertise to a growing and efficient procurement team. This role is based in central Manchester offering hybrid working arrangements.

This opportunity is with a Global leader within Financial services, based out of Manchester offering hybrid working arrangements. They have a strong UK presence and are known as a trusted institution within Financial services.
Description
Key responsibilities for the Category Manager:
*To optimise and address 3rd party spend requirements within the marketing and other Indirect Categories.
*Identification of industry trends and development related to sourcing and category management
*Planning and execution of sourcing events such as: RFP/RFX, negotiations to best meet the business requirements for value, speed, compliance, risk.
*Identification and delivery of change opportunities to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and control of sourcing processes
*Development, implementation and operation of policies and procedures to help sourcing activities aligned to current and desired standards and compliances
Profile
A successful Category Manager should have:
*Strong experience in Indirect procurement.
*Experience within the Marketing Category would be beneficial.
*Knowledge of the Financial Services industry and the processes within would be beneficial but not essential
*Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts effectively and efficiently.
*Excellent analytical skills able to mitigate risk while developing procedures and policies to aid support and government compliances.
*Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
*A commercial mindset and a focus on delivering cost savings while ensuring good external relations for the business
*Understanding how the cross functional teams collaborate where needed to ensure business standards and policies are met
Job Offer
*Competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £60,000 per annum. (Dependent on Experience)
*Permanent position based in Manchester offering hybrid work arrangements with 2 days on site
