National Place Manager

Hybrid working (national travel required)

Do you believe sport can change communities?

We are seeking a National Place Manager to lead swimming and aquatics work across priority communities in England, embedding aquatics into local ecosystems to tackle inequality and inactivity.

This is a system-facing, relationship-led role focused on working with:
*Local authorities
*Active Partnerships
*Community and voluntary sector organisations
*Schools and leisure providers
You will build trusted relationships across 12 priority communities initially, shaping how swimming contributes to local health, education and regeneration agendas.

This is not a delivery role. It is about influence, trust-building and long-term system change.

We’re looking for someone who:
*Understands place-based approaches within sport and physical activity
*Has worked within or alongside Active Partnerships or local authorities
*Is confident operating within complex local systems
*Can translate national strategy into local action
*Brings resilience, empathy and strong influencing skills
Significant travel will be required, particularly in the first 6-12 months.
