Administration Assistant
*Job Type: Temporary
*Location: Witham, Essex
*Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-3:30pm)
We are seeking an Administration Assistant to play a critical frontline role in delivering a professional, responsive, and consistent customer experience. This position involves handling inbound calls and emails, providing first-line support to customers, installers, suppliers, and internal teams in a fast-paced office environment. The role is crucial for operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and sales effectiveness.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Answer inbound telephone calls promptly and professionally.
*Manage shared inboxes, responding to customer and partner emails accurately and within agreed timeframes.
*Provide clear, confident first-line responses to common queries relating to orders, deliveries, lead times, and general product information.
*Log calls, emails, and actions accurately on internal systems.
*Allocate enquiries to the correct internal teams where escalation is required.
*Track open actions and ensure follow-up is completed.
*Act as a central point of contact for the office, supporting smooth daily operations.
*Liaise with Sales, Customer Success, Production, and Logistics teams to resolve queries.
*Assist with general office administration tasks as required.
*Contribute to a positive, calm, and professional office environment during peak periods.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience in an administrative or customer-facing office role.
*Confident and professional telephone manner.
*Strong written communication skills.
*Ability to work calmly under pressure in a busy environment.
*High attention to detail and accuracy.
*Competent with Microsoft Office and internal systems.
*Experience managing shared inboxes or call queues is beneficial.
Personal Attributes:
*Organised and reliable.
*Customer-focused with a positive, can-do attitude.
*Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and priorities.
