Description
*Manage and coordinate daily distribution operations to ensure timely and efficient processes.
*Achieve kpi performance and productivity standards for warehouse/distribution activities through proactive management of shift resources.
*Supervise, coach, develop and lead a team
*Monitor and maintain compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
*Oversee inventory management and ensure proper documentation of all activities.
*Collaborate with other departments to optimise workflow and communication.
*Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
*Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on operational performance.
*Ensure the smooth running of operations during assigned shifts in Glasgow.
*Participate and lead in CI projects including implementation of new WHM system
Profile
A successful Shift Manager should have:
*Experience in distribution, warehouse and/or logistics.
*Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
*Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
*Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the logistics sector.
*Proficiency in using relevant systems and software for Warehouse Management/Inventory and operations management
*Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
*Capability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and make informed decisions.
