Maintenance Engineer – Stratford-upon-Avon

Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours per week | £17.50 per hour

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our established clients in Stratford-upon-Avon for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to ensure the safe operation, maintenance and efficiency of plant machinery and site services.

The Role:
You will be responsible for maintaining and maximising the performance of plant equipment and site systems, ensuring minimal downtime and supporting overall production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
*Maintenance of site services including electrical and pneumatic systems, signage, heating systems (wood pellet), and drainage


*Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs to plant machinery and services


*Performing preventative maintenance


*Operating machine tools such as lathes, millers, drills and grinders


*Interpreting technical manuals and engineering drawings


*Assisting with ordering spare parts and maintaining stock levels


*Using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, Verniers, etc.)


*Managing daily oil refresh processes in line with recycling procedures


*Following all company health & safety policies


Requirements:
*City & Guilds qualification preferred


*Apprenticeship trained preferred


*Approximately 5 years’ relevant engineering experience


*Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills


*Experience with machine tools and precision measuring equipment


*Forklift experience advantageous



Working Environment:
*Industrial manufacturing environment


*Oily, noisy conditions with oil mist/smoke present


*Slippery surfaces at times


*Physically demanding role involving heavy lifting


*PPE required at all times


*Occasional outdoor work in all weather conditions
