What you’ll be doing
As Community Volunteer Support Coordinator, you’ll play a central role in supporting the effective delivery and engagement of our Global Local Networks and Technical Networks. Acting as a first point of contact for communities-related enquiries, you’ll manage queries and provides system support to and from volunteers, members, and non-members, ensuring timely, professional and helpful responses.
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines operational coordination with proactive support. You’ll provide day-to-day administrative and logistical assistance to committees and volunteers which will include everything from scheduling meetings and preparing agendas, through to supporting recruitment activity and maintaining accurate records across CRM and associated systems.
You’ll also support the full volunteer lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, committee changes, and access to tools and training. Alongside this, you’ll play a key part in coordinating events and webinars, supporting with setting up event pages and registrations, managing digital platforms such as Zoom, responding to delegate queries, and helping on-the-day delivery where required.
Accuracy and process will be important in this role. You’ll maintain data, trackers, and documentation to support reporting and decision-making, coordinate updates to community resources, and provide financial and funding administration support, including purchase orders, invoices, expense reconciliation and budget tracking.

We’re looking for an organised and proactive coordinator, ideally with experience supporting volunteers within a membership organisation, professional body, or not-for-profit environment.
You’ll bring strong administrative experience, including managing shared inboxes, triaging enquiries, and maintaining accurate records and trackers. You’ll be confident supporting financial processes such as raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and maintaining spreadsheets to support effective budget control.
Experience coordinating digital events and webinars will also be important, including working with registration systems, virtual event platforms and associated tools. Experience supporting formal committee activity, preparing agendas and taking clear, accurate minutes would also be highly advantageous.
As a confident communicator, you’ll build positive working relationships with volunteers and colleagues alike. You’ll be highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
