Business Development Supervisor - Finance & Restructuring Location: London, United Kingdom
Reports to: Business Development Manager
Hours: 9:30am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday (35 hours per week, plus additional hours as required)
About the Role A leading global law firm is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Supervisor to support its dynamic Finance & Restructuring Practice in London. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious BD professional to work closely with partners and lawyers on strategic growth initiatives, high value pitches, and targeted marketing activities.
Acting as the primary BD contact for the London-based team, you will play a key role in driving practice visibility, coordinating client development efforts, and supporting cross border initiatives with colleagues across Europe and internationally.
Key Responsibilities In this role, you will:
*Serve as the dedicated Business Development contact for the Finance & Restructuring Practice in London.
*Coordinate and prepare pitches, proposals, and RFPs, with additional support to the global practice as needed.
*Develop and maintain marketing materials, including experience lists, credentials, and capability statements.
*Support directory and award submissions, managing matter collection and interview coordination.
*Conduct client, competitor, and market research to identify opportunities and support BD strategy.
*Plan and support practice-related events, webinars, and sponsorships alongside the events team.
*Track BD activity, client targeting progress, and business plan deliverables.
*Collaborate with global BD colleagues on cross-border initiatives and best-practice sharing.
*Assist with onboarding lateral hires within the Finance & Restructuring Practice, working closely with BD teammates to ensure a smooth integration.
Skills & Qualities Required We are looking for someone who brings:
*Excellent organisational skills and strong written and verbal communication.
*High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
*A proactive, collaborative, and solutions focused approach.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems is desirable.
*A bachelors degree or equivalent qualification.
*Prior experience in legal or professional services Business Development/Marketing (strongly desirable).
