MGA Financial AccountantLocation: North West UK (Hybrid Working)
Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
OverviewWe are seeking an experienced MGA Financial Accountant to join a leading global specialty insurance business on a fixed-term basis. This role will support the accurate accounting of technical transactions and ensure timely, high-quality financial reporting to both external stakeholders and group entities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in month-end processes, audit preparation, and finance transformation initiatives, contributing to ongoing automation and process improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities*Manage month-end financial close processes for technical accounts
*Prepare and reconcile technical accounts and bank reconciliations
*Prepare and perform quality assurance on bordereau
*Coordinate and produce quarterly audit files, ensuring timely completion of schedules and supporting documentation
*Collaborate closely with the Accounting and Financial Reporting team
*Identify opportunities to improve, standardise, and automate existing finance processes
*Support finance-wide projects, including new business stream implementations
*Provide ad-hoc support across the finance function as required
*Promote strong governance and conduct standards
Skills & Experience*Previous experience in technical accounting and/or credit control
*Strong understanding of financial reporting processes
*Advanced Excel skills
*Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
*High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
*Confident communicator, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
*Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable approach
