A well-established and highly regarded retail food business in Cambridgeshire is seeking an experienced and driven Butchery Manager to lead its busy butchery department.
This confidential opportunity is ideal for a Senior butcher ready to take ownership of a department and drive standards, performance, and customer experience within a quality-focused retail environment.
The RoleAs Butchery Manager, you will be fully responsible for the day-to-day management and commercial performance of the butchery operation. You will lead from the front, ensuring exceptional product quality, compliance, and customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities*Managing all aspects of the butchery department
*Preparing and cutting meat to an exceptional professional standard
*Leading, training, and motivating a small team
*Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations
*Managing stock control, ordering, margins, and waste
*Driving sales through strong merchandising and product knowledge
*Delivering a first-class customer experience
About You*Proven experience as a senior butcher or butchery manager
*Strong leadership and team development skills
*Excellent knife skills and comprehensive product knowledge
*Commercially aware with experience managing KPIs and margins
*Passionate about quality produce and customer service
*Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
