We are looking for an Assessor/Trainer in Plumbing and Gas to join our busy, high-performing Construction Department in Cambridge This is a chance to use your industry expertise to shape the next generation of skilled professionals while working in a supportive, forward-thinking team.You will lead a caseload of apprentices, guiding them through every stage of their programme and helping them build the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to thrive. Your coaching and assessment will play a vital role in ensuring they are fully prepared for a confident, successful End Point Assessment.
What you’ll do
*Deliver engaging, high-quality training, coaching and support
*Carry out workplace assessments and progress reviews
*Monitor, track and record apprentice progress with accuracy and clarity
*Prepare apprentices thoroughly for End Point Assessment
*Build strong, professional relationships with employers across the region
*Contribute to business development and employer engagement activity
*Keep up to date with industry standards, regulations and Health & Safety
*Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation and records
This role offers agile working, blending on-site delivery, workplace visits and remote administrative work from home.
What you’ll bring
*A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Plumbing
*Strong, relevant industry experience
*Assessor and/or IQA qualifications (desirable)
*Experience teaching or assessing (desirable)
*Solid understanding of Apprenticeship Standards and EPA requirements
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*Confidence using digital systems and tools
*Flexibility, professionalism and a collaborative approach
