Role: Clinical Sample Co-Ordinator / Technician
Location: Stirling & Eurocentral (Fully Site-Based)
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Clinical Sample Co-ordinator / Technician to manage and document the storage, inventory, and traceability of clinical samples housed in ultra-low temperature freezer environments. This is a hands-on, site-based role within a regulated CL3 laboratory environment.
You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate storage, tracking and reconciliation of clinical samples, supporting a laboratory relocation project and freezer inventory review.
The Requirements:
*BSc (or equivalent) in Life Sciences or related field
*1-2 years’ experience working with clinical samples or biobanking
*Experience working to GLP/GCP standards
*Strong Excel and data accuracy skills
*Proven aseptic technique and safe specimen handling
*Ability to work in cold-room / -80°C environments
*Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
The Role:
*Manage receipt, storage, and accessioning of clinical samples
*Maintain accurate inventory records (Excel-based system)
*Ensure full chain-of-custody and audit trail documentation
*Conduct reconciliation and investigate discrepancies
*Support freezer inventory completion ahead of laboratory relocation
*Work within -80°C freezer environments and CL3 laboratories
*Liaise with laboratory, QA and compliance teams
*Travel between Stirling and Eurocentral sites as required
6-month temporary contract
Fully site-based role
