Job Description:
*Finance Manager
*Construction Sector
*Manchester
The Role Reporting to senior leadership, you will take responsibility for the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and effective commercial support across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities *Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
*Manage and review sub-ledger accounts, particularly in relation to contract accounting
*Prepare accounts and financial reports
*Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow forecasting
*Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with contract terms
About You *Proven experience as a Finance Manager (or similar senior finance role) within the construction / contracting industry
*Working knowledge of accounting software
*Experience managing sub-ledgers and contract accounting (preferred)
*Understanding of cost control, WIP reporting, and project-based accounting
*Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
*Confident communicator, able to work closely with operational teams
*Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferred but not essential
