Job Description:
Are you looking for a new role where you will have the opportunity to work across all aspects of accounting?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to join a growing firm of Accountants based in York.
This independent firm offers a wide range of services from tax, bookkeeping, payroll and accounts preparation, ensuring they can help their clients with all aspects of their accounting needs.
As a Trainee Accountant, you will be responsible for:
*Preparation of statutory year end accounts for a variety of clients.
*Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
*Bookkeeping duties.
*Calculating corporate tax and personal tax liabilities and preparing tax returns.
To be suitable for this Trainee Accountant role, ideally you should meet the following:
*2+ years’ experience working as a Trainee Accountant in an Accountancy firm.
*Studying towards AAT or ACA/ACCA
*Good written and verbal English.
