Job Description:
Assembly Technician
Location: Runcorn
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (early finish Friday)
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Contract: Temp to Perm
About the Role We’re recruiting for a hands-on, detail-driven Precision Assembly Technician to join a technical manufacturing team in a clean and organised lab/workshop environment. You’ll be assembling small, intricate mechanical and electronic components used in high-accuracy engineered products.
If you enjoy fine assembly work, problem-solving, and working with precision tools, this role will suit you perfectly.
What You’ll Be Doing *Assembling small mechanical and electronic components with high precision
*Working from technical drawings, build instructions, and assembly procedures
*Carrying out functional and basic electrical testing
*Recording build data and completing quality documentation accurately
*Supporting prototype or one-off build projects when needed
*Maintaining a tidy, safe, and controlled workspace
What We’re Looking For *Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or fine-component assembly
*Strong attention to detail and high levels of manual dexterity
*Ability to read technical drawings or follow structured build processes
*Comfortable working with small tools, delicate parts, and precision fixtures
*A proactive, quality-focused mindset and eagerness to learn
*Any experience with basic electronics or circuitry is a bonus
