Job Description:
The Opportunity:
Fantastic opportunity for a category manager to join a fast-growing, insight-led consumer business where category plays a central role in commercial strategy. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves data, storytelling and turning insight into commercially meaningful actions. The role will be hybrid, with 4 days per week in the office in Tyne & Wear.
Role
As Category Manager, you’ll use data, insight and compelling storytelling to drive category growth and shape future product development.
*Provide category management support across key retail customers.
*Analyse EPOS, panel and online marketplace data to identify opportunities and category growth drivers.
*Lead range change windows with clear, insight-led recommendations.
*Build compelling category rationale and selling stories for new product introductions.
*Deliver regular category reviews covering market, brand and product performance.
*Produce monthly deep dives that help inform product development and strategic planning.
*Support the creation of toolkit materials and internal launch content.
Experience / Skills
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and convert them into actionable insights.
*Hands-on experience using EPOS or syndicated data tools (e.g. Nielsen, IRI, Kantar).
*Excellent Excel and presentation skills.
*Experience working with major UK retailers (grocery, multichannel or similar).
*Clear and confident communication, able to simplify complex information.
*A collaborative working style suited to a lean and agile business.
