I’m currently partnering with a well-established, growing business based in Worcester that has clear and ambitious plans for the next stage of its development. With a long-standing, supportive team and a genuinely strong culture built around collaboration and accountability, this is a great opportunity for a Finance Manager to join at a key point in the company’s growth and play an important role in shaping the finance function going forward.
This is a broad, hands-on role suited to a technically strong accountant who enjoys ownership, team leadership and partnering closely with operational stakeholders.
Role responsibilities
*Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing clear variance analysis and commentary.
*Oversee monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and audit readiness.
*Present financial results to senior management, offering insight to support decision-making.
*Manage and develop a small finance team.
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards, VAT and company law requirements.
*Monitor cash flow, produce regular forecasts and oversee credit control.
*Maintain and strengthen financial controls, systems and reporting processes.
Required skills
*ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or QBE with at least 5 years’ finance experience.
*Previous team management experience.
*Strong technical grounding with a solid controls mindset.
*Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
*Confident communicator, able to engage both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
*Proactive, organised and comfortable working in a hands-on SME-style environment.
In return you will
*Join a stable, supportive team with low turnover and a genuinely positive working culture.
*Have real ownership of the finance function, with scope to shape processes and add value.
*Work closely with senior leadership, gaining visibility and influence across the business.
*Be part of a growing organisation with clear plans, offering long-term stability and progression potential.
