Full time hours on a temporary basis
We are seeking an experienced Housing Litigation Lawyer to join our legal team. The successful candidate will handle a wide range of contentious housing matters, providing expert legal advice and representation across tenancy, disrepair, enforcement, and possession cases.
Key Responsibilities*Manage a varied caseload of housing litigation including possession proceedings, injunctions, ASB cases, disrepair claims, tenancy enforcement and homelessness-related disputes.
*Provide accurate and timely legal advice to internal teams, housing officers, and senior managers.
*Prepare and review legal documentation, witness statements, and case bundles.
*Represent the organisation in court hearings, tribunals and negotiations.
*Work closely with operational teams to ensure legal compliance and risk management.
*Advise on relevant legislation including Housing Acts, Landlord & Tenant law, and anti-social behaviour legislation.
*Support early resolution of disputes and promote best practice in housing management.
