Health & Safety Faculty Officer
Location: London
Duration: 5 months initial contract
Days: Monday to Friday
Hourly pay: £23.11 per hour PAYE
We are delighted to be supporting our client in recruiting for a ’Health & Safety Faculty Officer’ on a full-time temporary basis!
This post has hybrid working available, the successful candidate would need to be flexible with hybrid working depending on business needs!
Purpose of the role:
The post holder would be reporting directly to the Safety Operations Manager. The role would take full ownership of health & safety across all departments and implement policies to ensure day to day compliance.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead health & safety governance across all departments, providing professional advise to ’Heads of’. Use the health & safety committee as the main forum to manage risk, track actions and hold departments to account. To build effective working relationships with safety services, estates, fire and security teams to support safe operations.
Ensure staff inductions and mandatory training including fire safety, display screen equipment, manual handling, lone working and first aid are delivered and recorded.
Oversee RiskNET incident and near miss reporting, ensure investigations are completed and lessons learned are shared.
Person Specification:
*NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification (or working towards) would be beneficial.
*Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and procedures.
*Experience leading Health & Safety operations across multiple locations would be beneficial.
*Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
*Experience managing workplace assessments, incident investigations and leadership skills.
