Office Admin Assistant
*Location: Basingstoke, RG21
*Job Type: Full-time
*Salary: £28,000 - £30,000
We are seeking a reliable and organised Office Admin Assistant to support day-to-day office operations and assist with stock handling, picking, packing, and dispatch preparation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of tasks, is hands-on, and can confidently manage both office tasks and stock support duties.
Day-to-day of the role:
General Office Administration
*Answer phone calls and respond to emails professionally.
*Handle incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
*Maintain office filing systems (digital and physical).
*Data entry, updating spreadsheets, and maintaining accurate records.
*Assist with document preparation (invoices, delivery notes, reports, etc.).
*Order office supplies and ensure office areas remain tidy and well-stocked.
*Support management with general admin tasks such as hotel bookings, meeting room bookings at hotels, and team meeting organizations.
*Manage contracts such as gas and electric, mobile phones, and lease cars.
Stock Control & Warehouse Support
*Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
*Prepare goods for dispatch, including labelling and packaging.
*Receive deliveries, unpack items, and store stock in correct locations.
*Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
*Ensure stock areas are kept clean, organised, and safe.
*Help maintain accurate stock records and product tracking.
*Handle basic customer enquiries and direct more complex issues appropriately.
*Support returns processing and restocking where needed.
Health & Safety
*Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
*Use safe manual handling practices when lifting/moving stock.
*Report any hazards, damages, or issues immediately.
Required Skills & Qualifications
*Previous experience in an admin role.
*Experience in picking/packing or warehouse work is an advantage.
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload.
*Good communication skills (written and verbal).
*Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
*Physically capable of light-to-moderate lifting and moving stock.
