This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience in financial services to play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s financial reporting. You will support the day-to-day business management of financial activities, ensuring monthly reporting, and leading statutory audits.
What you’ll do:

*Develop and implement effective monthly financial reporting processes while ensuring timely delivery of accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
*Coordinate interim and year-end statutory audits by preparing analytical reviews, liaising with external auditors, and providing comprehensive documentation as required.
*Respond promptly to investor queries, tax matters, regulatory questions, and internal requests by delivering clear, accurate information that supports decision-making.
*Oversee the development, application, and refinement of accounting policies to ensure full compliance with relevant standards and evolving regulatory requirements.
*Utilise the financial control framework to maintain rigorous oversight of accountabilities and authorities across all legal entities within the group.
*Review balance sheet reconciliations for all legal entities to guarantee accuracy in trial balances and support operational month-end account ownership.
*Monitor changes from statutory and regulatory bodies, updating internal policies accordingly to maintain alignment with industry best practices.
*Prepare finance regulatory reports required by various institutions in close collaboration with legal, risk, and compliance teams.
*Lead audit deliverables with your team while planning for audit engagements and ensuring all necessary information is provided efficiently.
What you bring:
*Qualified accountant (ICAEW / CIMA / ACCA) with demonstrable post-qualification experience within financial services or banking environments.
*Extensive background working within Finance functions in regulated financial institutions or professional services firms handling business audits.
*Exceptional written and verbal communication skills enabling you to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
*Proven understanding of change management processes as well as controls implementation within complex organisations subject to regulatory oversight.
*Hands-on experience leading or participating in change projects aimed at improving financial reporting or operational efficiency.
*Advanced proficiency in Excel alongside deep consolidation knowledge for managing large datasets accurately.
*Excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to build rapport with senior managers while maintaining collaborative working relationships across departments.
