Location: Grays
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 (DOE)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrator to provide essential support to our busy Sales Team within the building trade. This is a fast-paced and varied role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for customers and suppliers, handling enquiries, preparing quotations, and ensuring smooth day-to-day administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities
*Providing administrative support to the Sales Team
*Handling incoming calls and email enquiries from customers and suppliers
*Preparing and issuing quotations accurately and efficiently
*Processing orders and maintaining accurate records
*Using SAGE software for invoicing, quotations, and account administration (preferred)
*Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, stock availability, and delivery times
*Managing general office administration duties
*Maintaining customer records and updating internal systems
*Supporting the wider team to ensure excellent customer service delivery
Skills & Experience Required
*Previous administrative experience (essential)
*Experience within the building trade or similar industry (highly desirable)
*Experience preparing quotations
*Working knowledge of SAGE (preferred)
*Strong telephone manner and customer service skills
*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
*Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
*Confident IT skills including Microsoft Office
