You will be the driving force in the kitchen, blending traditional flavours with contemporary execution to deliver a world-class guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
*Culinary Leadership: Direct all kitchen operations from launch, ensuring every dish reflects our high standards of quality, authenticity, and presentation.
*Menu Development: Collaborate with management to design innovative menus that celebrate Burmese heritage while appealing to London’s diverse palate.
*Team Building: Train, and mentor a high-performing kitchen brigade, fostering a culture of professional growth and mutual respect.
*Safety & Compliance: Maintain a rigorous standard of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation in accordance with UK regulations.
*Performance Management: Monitor food quality and costs, implementing cost-effective strategies for inventory and waste control without compromising excellence.
Requirements
*Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, ideally within a high-volume Asian or premium restaurant environment.
*Launch Expertise: Previous experience with new restaurant openings is highly desirable.
*Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of Southeast Asian ingredients, traditional Burmese cooking techniques, and modern flavor profiles.
*Leadership Presence: Strong interpersonal skills with a "lead-from-the-front" attitude and the ability to thrive under the pressure of a new launch.
*Qualifications: Formal culinary certification or degree (e.g., Culinary Arts) is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with exceptional track records
*Language Skills: Fluency in Burmese and English is essential to effectively lead our specialist team and communicate with stakeholders.
Compensation & Benefits
*Competitive Hourly Rate: We offer a starting rate of competitive salary per hour (dependent on experience and skills), paid for all hours worked.
*Negotiable Terms: We are open to negotiating the final rate for candidates who bring exceptional expertise, particularly those with a proven track record in restaurant launches or specialized Burmese culinary knowledge.
*Performance Incentives: Potential for additional bonuses or service charge based on kitchen performance and guest satisfaction.
*Growth Opportunities: As an expanding team, we offer clear paths for career progression and the chance to influence our long-term brand strategy
We accept your cover letter both in Burmese and English Language. Please note that it’s a mandatory process.
