Job Description:
An established, independent financial planning practice based in Leicestershire is seeking a commercially aware and detail-driven Administrator to strengthen its mortgage and protection support function. Experience within a financial planning or IFA environment will be viewed favourably especially if you have dealt with mortgage cases. This is a pivotal hire for a client-centric advisory firm that delivers holistic financial planning solutions across mortgages, protection, pensions and investments. The business has built a strong regional reputation for trusted advice, long-term relationships and high service standards.
With continued growth across the mortgage and lending side of the practice, the Directors are now looking to appoint an experienced individual who can take ownership of case progression and ensure a seamless client journey from enquiry through to completion.
The Firm
This independent advisory business provides tailored financial planning solutions to individuals and families across Leicestershire and the wider Midlands. Advisers are supported by an established back-office infrastructure, enabling them to focus on delivering high-quality, regulated advice across residential mortgages, remortgages, buy-to-let, protection and broader financial planning matters. The environment is professional yet personable — ideal for someone who values accountability, teamwork and high service standards.
The Role
This position will sit at the heart of the mortgage and protection workflow, providing structured administrative and operational support to advisers.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Managing mortgage and protection cases from application through to completion
*Coordinating with lenders, providers and third parties to ensure timely progression
*Preparing documentation packs and supporting report production
*Maintaining accurate client records and CRM updates
*Handling client correspondence and providing proactive case updates
*Supporting compliance processes and internal quality standards
*Identifying efficiencies within existing workflows to enhance service delivery
The successful individual will act as a key point of contact across the mortage case lifecycle, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations are consistently exceeded.
Candidate Profile
We are keen to engage individuals who can demonstrate:
*Proven experience within mortgage administration (minimum 2 years preferred)
*Strong understanding of residential lending and protection case processes
*Confident interaction with lenders, solicitors and financial services providers
*High levels of accuracy and organisational discipline
*Proficiency across Microsoft Office and financial services CRM systems
*Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously within a regulated framework
*A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
