A well-established independent accountancy practice based in Otley is seeking an experienced General Practice Accountant to take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained accountant who enjoys working closely with SMEs, owner-managed businesses and local entrepreneurs, providing hands-on support and trusted advice.

The Role *Managing your own portfolio of clients across a range of sectors


*Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies


*Producing management accounts and VAT returns


*Preparing personal and corporate tax returns


*Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building strong long-term relationships


*Supporting and reviewing junior staff where appropriate


The Candidate *ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience


*Previous experience within an accountancy practice is essential


*Confident managing client relationships independently


*Proficient with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)


*Organised, personable and commercially aware
