Job Description:
HFG are seeking a Senior Reporting Accountant to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting high-quality regulatory and financial reporting within the Lloyd’s market.
You will be responsible for the production, review and delivery of key Syndicate reporting, ensuring outputs are accurate, insightful and delivered to strict deadlines. This is a great opportunity to develop your technical expertise while working closely with underwriting, actuarial and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
*Produce and review Syndicate reporting to Lloyd’s, including:
*Flash reporting
*QMA and QMB
*Solvency II
*US and Canadian situs reporting
*RRQ and RRA
*Prepare annual and underwriting year financial statements.
*Deliver analytics and commentary to support both regular and ad-hoc business queries.
*Liaise with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to ensure high-quality, timely reporting.
*Review and enhance existing reporting processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and automation.
*Develop and maintain standardised process documentation.
*Build strong relationships with underwriters and actuaries to deepen understanding of financial drivers.
*Support external and internal audits, ensuring information is delivered on time.
*Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Experience required
*Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CA, ACCA or CIMA).
*Strong knowledge of Lloyd’s accounting and reporting, UK GAAP, Solvency II and Companies Act requirements.
*Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
*A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong sense of accountability.
*Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
*Experience with Lloyd’s systems (desirable).
