IP Associate – London
Our client is a well-established national law firm with a strong reputation for delivering commercially focused legal advice to a diverse client base, from start-ups to international brands. It is now looking to recruit an experienced Intellectual Property Lawyer to join its London team. This is a broad role offering a mix of contentious and non-contentious IP work within a full-service practice, covering the full lifecycle of IP rights including protection, portfolio management, commercialisation and enforcement. You will work closely with senior leadership as part of a highly regarded national IP team.
Key Responsibilities
*Advise on the full lifecycle of IP rights, including protection, registration, portfolio management and enforcement
*Manage trade mark and design strategy, including clearance, prosecution and monitoring
*Handle matters before the UKIPO, EUIPO and WIPO
*Advise on brand protection, copyright, database rights, confidential information and trade secrets
*Support contentious IP matters, including disputes and enforcement proceedings
*Deliver clear, commercially focused advice to a varied client base
*Contribute to business development and support junior colleagues where required
Requirements
*Qualified Lawyer with 5-10 years’ PQE in Intellectual Property
*Strong experience in trade mark and design strategy, clearance, prosecution and portfolio management
*Experience advising on IP protection and enforcement across a range of rights
*Familiarity with UKIPO, EUIPO and WIPO procedures
*Excellent drafting, communication and client management skills
*Commercially minded, collaborative and keen to be part of a national IP team based in London
