Job Description:
FMCG Auditor – Food, Hardline & Textile Products
Are you an experienced Auditor looking to broaden your FMCG experience? Our client is a unique business delivering private-label and branded products across food, hardline, and textile categories to major UK retailers. This role offers exposure to a wide range of products and the chance to make a real impact on supplier compliance and performance.
About the Role
As an FMCG Auditor, you will:
*Onboard new manufacturing suppliers, performing gap analysis, risk assessments, and non-conformity reporting
*Build strong, long-term relationships with UK and EU suppliers, helping them meet UK manufacturing regulations and retailer standards
*Conduct maintenance audits and ensure suppliers are confident and prepared for retailer inspections
*Ensure compliance with ethical, technical, and customer codes of practice
*Manage nonconformance corrective action plans and coordinate internal and external audits
*Support buying teams during new site sourcing and onboarding
What We’re Looking For
*Experience as an Auditor, Lead Auditor, Internal Auditor, Compliance Manager, or Retail Auditor in FMCG
*Knowledge of UK food manufacturing regulations and retailer codes of practice
*Experience working with top UK retailers
*Lead Auditor training (preferred)
*Food Safety Level 3 qualification
*Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
*Willingness to travel extensively, typically one week per month, sometimes at short notice
