Trainee Accountant Immediate Start
£30,000 + STUDY PACKAGE +Bonus +Benefits
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates eager to develop their accounting skills and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training to become a qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA).
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist in the production and validation of daily trading P&Ls/NAVs.
*Support portfolio pricing activities.
*Capture all trading-related fees accurately.
*Contribute to the month-end process for trading portfolios and entities.
*Aid in tax analysis and reporting related to trading activities.
*Assist with audit cycles and related tasks.
*Prepare and maintain accruals and prepayments schedules.
*Help in the preparation of management accounts.
*Work on process improvement initiatives and enhance controls.
Requirements: *A keen understanding of core liquid products and trading mechanisms (e.g., cash equities, equity swaps, FX, listed equity options, bonds, ETFs).
*Strong numeracy skills and a desire to learn.
*Excellent communication abilities.
*Proficiency in Excel.
*Meticulous attention to detail.
*Effective time management and prioritization skills.
*Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
*Strong analytical skills for identifying variances and flagging issues.
*Willingness to tackle additional queries and ad hoc projects.
*Educational Background:
*Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
*Understanding of Financial Products:
*Basic knowledge of core liquid products and how they are traded (e.g., cash equities, equity swaps, FX, bonds, ETFs).
*Numeracy Skills:
*Strong mathematical abilities for accurate financial analysis.
*Communication Skills:
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
