We are recruiting a Credit Controller to support a busy Finance department within a respected national law firm. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative experience who enjoys working with data, managing processes, and contributing to a smooth-running credit control function. You’ll work closely with the Collections Manager and Credit Control Team, playing an important part in maintaining accurate records and helping the firm deliver an excellent client experience.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Inbox & Administration Support
*Manage the team inbox, handling tasks such as:
*Completing supplier and onboarding forms
*Adding purchase order numbers to invoices and resubmitting them
*Issuing copy invoices to clients
*Keeping contact information accurate and up to date

*Support the wider Credit Control Team with general admin to ensure processes run efficiently.
Reporting & Data Management
*Prepare weekly aged debt reports and distribute these to relevant managers and partners.
*Record promises of payment and updates received through email or remittance advice.
*Update invoice statuses on client billing portals.
Skills & Experience Required:
*Previous experience in credit control, ideally data-focused tasks.
*Confident using Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
*Ability to manage your own workload, work independently, and take responsibility for completing tasks.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle client and internal queries professionally.
*Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to follow processes accurately.
*Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) with solid results in English and Maths GCSEs.
