Duty Officer - Mental Health Supported Housing (Reception based) - £26.3k to £27.7k + excellent benefits
This is an opportunity for an experienced Duty Officer/Receptionist to join this award winning company that offers supported living to and supported housing services for vulnerable individuals who have experienced social exclusion, disadvantages or homelessness but have retained the capacity to make independent choices. The Duty Officer will contribute towards and advance the overall purpose, values and success of the organisation. The jobholder is responsible for delivering a supportive service that will engage and empower the residents to develop domestic, social and life skills that will prepare and enable them to live independently, through a person-centred approach that respects resident’s choices, embracing a non-judgmental and balanced response to differing life choices, whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
SALARY ETC:
*£26,300, increasing to £27,700 after successful probation.

*8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday

REQUIREMENTS:
*Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care.
*Experience working within mental health services, and also supportive mental health service.
*Good knowledge of mental health diagnoses and dual diagnosis.
*Strong computer skills and digital dexterity.
*Excellent telephone manner and grasp of the English language.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to communicate appropriately with people at all levels and capacities.
*Self-motivated and able to use own initiative to find solutions.
*Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, as well as to prioritise a varied workload.
*Warm and friendly demeanour with a positive and open-minded attitude.
*Thirst for knowledge, strive for excellence, and a humble posture of learning.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
*Responsible for implementation of given policies and procedures.
*Co-ordinate and liaise professionally with business associates, external professionals, local authorities and other stakeholders as a matter of course to fulfil the company’s services.
*To organise and attend meetings, form agendas and take minutes as and when required.
*To maintain and implement the company’s administrative policies and procedures.
*To ensure the effective running of the shift. This includes delegating tasks, health and safety checks and ensuring the whereabouts of all support staff is known.
*Ensure the Reception room is never left empty. Where it is necessary to leave the room, the duty officer to ensure appropriate cover has been set up.
*To be the first point of contact for tenants queries and to manage daily interactions with tenants in a way which provides reassurance, understanding and signposting to the relevant recovery coordinator.
*Answer the phones and forward all calls to the necessary staff members.
*Manage the share support team calendar and remind all staff and tenants of their up and coming appointments.
*Play a role in keeping the reception area clean and tidy.
*To securely facilitate access by tenants to medications, and ensure MARs sheets are up to date.
*To keep the Duty Notes updated regularly as events happen and enter all client relevant information.
*To follow the Client payment Procedure, ensuring payment records reconcile.
*When required take on a small case load of clients to key work.
