Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Phlebotomist. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting patient care by providing a high-quality blood collection service across wards and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities
*Perform venepuncture and capillary blood sampling in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
*Ensure accurate patient identification and correct labelling of specimens
*Deliver a professional, compassionate service to patients at all times
*Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control
*Accurately record and process samples for laboratory analysis
*Work collaboratively with nursing, medical, and laboratory staff
*Manage workload efficiently during core working hours
Requirements
*Proven experience as a Phlebotomist (NHS experience preferred)
*Competency in venepuncture and blood collection techniques
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
*Understanding of confidentiality, data protection, and patient dignity
*Up-to-date mandatory training (or willingness to complete)
