An ambitious and forward-thinking accountancy firm is looking for an experienced Bookkeeping Manager to lead their bookkeeping and VAT function. This is a hands-on senior role with real ownership, working with both clients and the internal team to drive high-quality service and continuous improvement.
The role:
*Manage and develop the bookkeeping team
*Own the bookkeeping and VAT production schedule
*Review work and VAT returns prepared by the team or clients
*Prepare bookkeeping and VAT returns for key clients when needed
*Be the main point of contact for bookkeeping and VAT clients
*Improve systems, workflows, and processes (Xero, Dext)
About you:
*Proven experience in a senior bookkeeping or bookkeeping management role
*Strong VAT and bookkeeping knowledge within practice
*Experience leading or supervising a team
*Advanced Xero experience and solid knowledge of Dext
*Organised, proactive, and confident communicating with clients
